CLASS SCHEDULE
Download: Class Schedule
Class participation should be as simple as possible. Getting there is often the most difficult step. If you do not see a class on the schedule that will work easily feel free to contact me (dan@danlayne.com). There may be other options, especially if you are anxious about the possibility of falling.
Classes are hosted by a variety of facilities and operate under different agencies (locations & sponsors). Some are fee based and are delivered in six or eight week time blocks. Others are associated with continuing education at a college, operate under a semester schedule (usually twelve weeks), and are free.
I often long for the less stringent old days. However, due to liability issues all classes require enrollment. Occasionally dropping in to participate when not enrolled is against policy – please be sensitive to this issue.
Potential Students:
- Potential students are invited and encouraged to observe a class in order to determine if it fits your needs. Getting there is often the most difficult step. It is important that a class be compatible with your schedule, location and temperment.
Absence:
- Generally, for fee based classes a missed class may not be made up in the next session. Some sponsor facilities do allow missed classes to carry over to the next session so it is best to ask when signing up if you anticipate missing classes. Sometimes, unforeseen circumstances make it necessary to drop out of a session. Please talk to me if you face such a situation.
- For classes that are free to the public please notify me of any planned absence of more than four weeks so that your name will be retained on the attendance roster.
Class Cancellations:
- In the rare event that a fee based class is cancelled a make-up class will be scheduled.
Guests:
- If you are a regular student and wish to bring a guest please talk to me about it, in advance if possible.
