BALANCE EXERCISES IN EVERY DAY LIFE (4 min) |
|
This series is intended to demonstrate the relationship between specific balance exercises and how they actually manifest spontaneously as a natural part of our balance experience. When we are in balance, an innate stability forms which frees us to move about in our respective environments with confidence. As a result, at least most of the time, our conscious minds are liberated to attend to other matters. | |
The technical term reactive balance control highlights the reflexive and innate quality of our sense of balance. Hopefully, the correlation to “real life” highlighted in the video will help to reinforce the importance of the exercises by allowing us to observe them in action. Seeing strengthens the connection to understanding which brings insight on how the exercises can help. For the person who is experiencing high anxiety about the possibility of falling, seeing may help to inspire belief in the possibility of improving and lead to action. |
